02 Overview
TMT bar is the one item on a site where a bad decision stays buried in the concrete for fifty years. We stock branded, mill-certified reinforcement only — Tata Tiscon, JSW Neosteel, Jindal Panther, Kamdhenu, Shyam, Birla and Turbo — from 6 mm stirrup rod up to 32 mm column steel, in standard 12 metre lengths.

TMT Bars we stock
Fe 500 TMT bars
The general-purpose grade. Fine for compound walls, single-storey houses, sheds and farm structures.
IS 1786 · 500 MPa yield Get priceFe 500D TMT bars
The grade most engineers now specify for houses and small commercial buildings. Extra ductility means the bar bends and absorbs movement instead of snapping.
IS 1786 · 500 MPa · higher ductility Get priceFe 550D / 550SD TMT bars
Higher strength lets you cut steel quantity or bar count on heavily loaded columns. Used on multi-storey and commercial work.
IS 1786 · 550 MPa · high ductility Get priceCRS / corrosion-resistant TMT
Worth the premium anywhere near the coast — Kumta, Honnavar, Gokarna belt — or where cover concrete is thin and salt air gets in.
Corrosion-resistant chemistry Get priceCut-and-bend / stirrup rod
Small-diameter rod for rings, stirrups and distribution steel. Sold by bundle or by weight.
6 mm and 8 mm Get priceMS binding wire
Annealed black binding wire for tying reinforcement cages. Sold by kilogram and by coil.

Nominal mass as printed in IS 1786 Table 1. The site rule of thumb is d² ÷ 162, which lands within a gram of these figures. Bundle counts are what this market normally supplies; 25 mm and above is sold loose. Actual mill weight is permitted to vary within the tolerance band in the standard.
05 FAQ
TMT Bars — your questions
Which TMT grade should I use for a house in Sirsi?
Fe 500D is the sensible default for a one to three storey house. It has the same 500 MPa yield strength as plain Fe 500 but higher elongation, so the bar deforms before it fails. If you are within about 20 km of the coast, ask for the CRS variant.
What is the difference between Fe 500 and Fe 500D?
The yield strength is the same. The D stands for higher ductility — tighter limits on sulphur and phosphorus, and a higher minimum elongation. It bends cold without cracking and behaves better under sudden load.
How many TMT bars come in one bundle?
Typically 10 bars for 8 mm, 7 for 10 mm, 5 for 12 mm, 3 for 16 mm and 2 for 20 mm. From 25 mm upward bars are supplied loose. See the weight chart above for bundle weights.
Do you supply a mill test certificate?
Yes — for branded bar we can pass on the batch test certificate from the mill. Ask for it when you place the order, not after delivery.
